KDE 3.3 on SuSE 9.1

I'd seen the KDE 3.3 RPMs on the SuSE website a few weeks ago, I'd figured to upgrade to SuSE 9.2 and get it installed then but it seems that 9.2 doesn't offer too much over 9.1 so I thought I'd stick with my current version and update KDE manually. I downloaded all the RPMs on the KDE pages and then switched to a Gnome session to install them. Hit some dependency problems early on, but most of these related to non essential packages so I just removed them and tried again. Had to find a glib-devel package (from the Gnome section on the SuSE site) to satisfy the dependencies for packages I actually wanted but after that it all installed with a rpm -Uvh *

KDM didn't work after that, but managed to start up KDE from the command prompt and it all looked fine. Rebooted and KDM came back up, experienced some slight oddities with the panel and themes (Firefox and Thunderbird now seem to be in a default look rather than the shiny metallic they were in KDE 3.2) but otherwise everything has been working just fine.
