Hi Johnny, thanks for pointing that out. It didn't matter for me because, as I said, the whole point was to display the entire page within the known dimensions of the signage device, but anyone trying to solve this problem for a public internet page should bear this issue in mind.

In response to: Hiding the Vertical Scrollbar in IE

This way is obvious and is actually bad. If you have a style "width: 100%" on some block-level element inside your body it will grow off-screen (thus causing the horizontal scrollbar to appear!) when the vertical scrollbar appear (in the case of content growing vertically too much).

Matthias Pfefferle has already hacked my code around to do a WordPress form instead of the sample page I supplied. At least I think that's what he's done, I was reading his German blog post through Google Translate :)

Opera Mobile is good for more complex sites, I have that installed too, but I find the data compression and reformatting done by Opera Mini can make browsing much faster when I haven't got a 3G connection.

Hey, great site! I came here on a google search for Opera and 6680, but I like a lot of your content. FYI, if you've got a 6680 (like me) you'll probably prefer Opera Mobile ( over Opera Mini. Cheers
